2025-2026 Season
Legend of Sleepy Hollow
Performances: Oct 23 & 24, 2025 at 7 p.m. | Oct 25, 2025 at 2 p.m. at the Appalachian Theatre
Synopsis: Before TikTok, before Instagram, before anyone was “verified,” there was Washington Irving—America’s original literary legend. He wrote ghost stories by candlelight, rocked dramatic collars like a fashion icon, and basically invented Halloween vibes before it was cool. His writing desk? Still standing. Possibly haunted. Definitely the birthplace of the Headless Horseman, who’s been terrorizing schoolteachers and stealing the spotlight ever since. BeanStalk Community Theatre’s all-youth cast brings Irving’s spooky classic The Legend of Sleepy Hollow to life—directed by Shane Lee Miller and guaranteed to thrill (without losing your head). Adapted for the Stage by Vera Morris.
Southern Hospitality
Performances: March 12 & 13, 2026 at 7 p.m. | March 14, 2026 at 2 p.m. at the Appalachian Theatre
Synopsis: The Futrelle sisters find themselves in a whirlwind of chaos as they scramble to save their hometown of Fayro, Texas, from extinction. Honey Raye makes outrageous promises to a visiting salsa factory rep, forcing the entire town to pull together and stage a celebration that doesn’t exist—yet. This fast-paced Southern comedy is a laugh-out-loud tribute to family, community, and creative problem-solving.
Auditions: Casting an adult ensemble on Dec. 11, 2025 at 6 p.m. at 288 Hodges Gap Rd. in Boone, NC.
The SpongeBob Musical
Performances: July 23 & 24, 2026 at 7 p.m. | July 25, 2026 14 at 2 p.m. at the Appalachian Theatre
Synopsis: Trouble bubbles up in Bikini Bottom when a looming volcano threatens to wipe out the whole undersea town. With panic rising and hope sinking fast, SpongeBob and his crew dive into action to save their home—armed with nothing but teamwork, imagination, and a whole lot of heart. Turns out, when the chips are down, optimism might just be the most powerful force in the ocean.
