Audition Details:
Audition Workshop - Saturday, March 21 from 2-3 pm at Studio K Dance - This is your opportunity to hear from the production team. You'll learn about the audition, rehearsal, and performance process, including how to prepare for the singing, acting, and dancing pieces of the audition. The movement/dance combo will also be taught at this time. Attendance at the workshop is not required but strongly encouraged so you feel confident going into auditions. Materials provided during the workshop (including a video of the audition dance combo) will be available online afterwards.
Auditions - casting adults and children (preference given to age 8 and up, due to complexity of the show) on Saturday March 28 at the White Barn with Red Roof - Please complete the audition form on this page before Friday, March 27 at 5 p.m. On that form, each auditioning performer will select a one-hour time slot for their audition. Time slots run from 10 am - 5 pm. During your time slot, you will gather with 9 other performers. You'll each sing your prepared solos, and you'll do the dance combo in groups. Those interested in a speaking role will also deliver a prepared monologue. If you are unable to attend the auditions, you may submit a video to beanstalkcommunitytheatre@gmail.com. Video auditions must be received by 4 p.m. on March 28. All audition material can be accessed by clicking the buttons on the left of this page (on desktops) or at the top of this page (on mobile).
Callbacks - TBD, depending on need. Will likely occur at the White Barn with Red Roof on an evening in the week following the auditions.
Rehearsals - Rehearsals begin in early May and run through July on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 6-8 pm. No absences allowed from July 13th through July 25th. Not every performer will be scheduled for every rehearsal; a full calendar will be provided to the cast.
